Me (on the left) during the 2023 CSPA Congress presenting my work.

I am a PhD Candidate in the Department of Politics, specializing in Political Theory and International Relations, at York University, Toronto, Canada. I hold an MA in Philosophy from the University of Ottawa and a BA in Political Science and Philosophy from the Université de Montréal.

My research interests include:

  • the history of Western social and political thought
  • contemporary French political theory
  • the postmodern debates
  • epistemology of social sciences
  • democratic theory
  • postcolonial theory

Under the supervision of Professor Martin Breaugh, my dissertation reflects on the relationship between democracy and the state by examining the contrasting perspectives of Marcel Gauchet and Miguel Abensour within the evolution of postwar political theory in France. Beyond contextual and textual components, my methodology involves archival works and interviews with key figures.
